grats on the win today!
When I first got out of college I sold BUD product to grocery and liquor stores one thing to keep an eye on with this to see continued decline is shelf spacing if they are losing display space in coolers at retailers they are losing market share. The other thing to note is large scale venues revenue is largely based upon liquor sales. If consumers pull back on the consumption at events such as baseball games etc which is the season currently the venues will pull BUD product for another brand. That would be a major hurt
Here’s some interesting data that shows BUD and other “traditional” beer brands are on the decline
One thing to be cautious on this too and overplaying. It has been slowly pushing back up from that overnight drop. Maybe 57.80 is the rejection and not 58 but I still want to see when news comes out on debt ceiling no longer being an issue to add puts there. It keeps trending with SPY and diverts here and there but we also dont want to buy the bottom
We will probably need to open up another thread but TGT is the new one getting bad PR for their stuff in stores. One thing we need to look at is mainly one side of the political aisle pushes for boycotts and the other does not. However, this could be changing and if both sides get trigger happy with who gets offended etc, some businesses could really get hurt, especially if market already shaky. This should not turn in to a politics thing and we need to follow the numbers and sentiment. TGT has been trending down. TGT just had earnings too so could be a combo of that too
TGT is close to the yearly bottom from the looks of it. Would take something pretty significant to break below to 2020 prices eh?
Another one to add to this is F. Their new 24 Ranger commercial is taking some backlash over being segmented. I’d suspect this is a similar audience to BUD. Same segment that could be pushed to get outraged. Ranger is small segment of F overall business. And personally I hope it doesn’t affect them. But same general idea.
They did a rainbow truck over a year ago. Talk about bringing up old shit. Just like Miller Light getting slack now for a commercial they put out 3 months ago.
This was just released. And yes seems stupid to get up in arms about. The consumer that likely has boycotted bud light is more than likely shopping ford product as well
The main idea here is if you continue to focus on a small group or cater to certain individuals vs the market as a whole, that is usually a bad marketing/pr move. Companies should try and stay neutral and the backlash is increasing. Know your target audience not the few but the many.

The actual live drop of this commercial just dropped Ranger Raptor wasn’t even available in 22 or 23. It’s a 24 model only. The article is in regards to a pre spec they took to some show. It’s now going to be on national television. Most probably never go to the good wood festival.
Just still seems like people bringing up old shit they should have gotten upset about a while ago. But it doesn’t surprise me. I mean it was just recent that people were trying to cancel Robert Downey for his performance in Tropic Thunder.
I just think it’s different to people them having a truck at some festival. And blasting it on national tv. Personally I could care less either way. But I feel same way about a can that’s going in my trash when I’m done with it.
I think the most ironic thing about this is that the people who are boycotting think BUD is a good beer <:kekw:923797443471081503>
Did you guys read this about Target? This could be another BUD situation. Why is Target pulling some Pride merch? The retailer's response to hostile backlash, explained | AP News
Could be also not the best numbers from latest earnings but we now see BUD gapping down each night. It is down today again. Seems this play keeps on paying. TGT is down also
55/56 is a big support area for this too. Has dropped from about 66 from earnings that were decent but this sales drop keeps hammering them. I dont think taking puts around 56 is great now and may need to see recent sales data to see if the trend will continue. latest we had was sales sell 28.4% week of May13th so if they announce how much it has fallen for this week I may enter puts again if its that bad.
