TF discussion of hospitals cutting staff. More to come over weekend relative to jobs. All welcome to contribute.
@TheMadBeaker and @thots_and_prayers were discussing jobs changes with other community members based on report issued below, but referencing health care layoffs and cuts which may not be translating to the job adds vs reality.
I have personally seen health care taking similar tact’s on the corporate side to take in as much money as possible. Specifically I have seen expedited needs for backup documentation on the service vendor side in order for health systems to be reimbursed by the government for Covid related expenses.
How this plays into our world… in my opinion big health care insurance will feel the pinch, as will the vendors that have been servicing the health care system. Along with actual public health care systems. When the government money is pinched, it would cause tightening. Tighten the jobs as well given less Covid exposure in US and it’s flu season demand for health care won’t be as high as we had seen in 2020-2021.
Please add to this as I am in for shares in some on the low end. But looking at potential put options to enter soon with exp towards the end of 2022 in Cigna CVS Humana and Cardinal health. Don’t hold any yet but interested in what anyone else who dabbles with health care feels. Most have been on the rise since late June. Cheers
