What’s up everyone. Figured I’d jump in on the challenge account bandwagon and get one going for myself. Decided to transfer the bulk of one of my Webull accounts over to ToS, so it is now free for me to use for the challenge.
So on 02/08, I threw $1500 into my account as a starter. Gave me a few days to wait for cash to settle which was perfect because my Walgreen’s (WBA) dividend play was coming up about a week later.
On 02/16, I purchased (10) $42.5 strike puts on WBA with a expiry date of 03/18 for $290.49. Cash balance was at $1210.08
A day later on 02/17, I bought (10) $46 strike puts on WBA with a expiry of 02/18 for $80.49. I then added (5) additional contracts later that day for $35.25. Total invested was $115.74 and cash balance after purchase was $1094.34.
The following day on 02/18, I sold my (15) $46 WBA put FDs for $149.22 clearing a profit of $33.48 and putting my cash balance back at $1243.56.
Still holding my (10) $42.5 WBA puts bought on 02/16, I decided to offload those today (02/22) for $489.47. This traded netted me a $198.98 profit and putting my cash balance at $1733.03.
Then I decided as a gamble to grab (5) $440 SPY calls expiring 02/23 right before market close for $80.25. Cash balance is now at $1652.78.
Current account status:
Account value: $1775.28
Cash: $1652.78
Asset value: $122.50
New job will prove difficult for me to trade as much as I did in the past, but hopefully I can keep this up to date as time goes on over the course of 2022.
