Leaps on Ford Motor Company

Yep! Thanks, Isaiah! This will at least move the price.

Adding in new information I was researching this morning, based on numbers I pulled at the beginning of the year to see what Ford was forecasting for total profit each month on new vehicle sales. Based on what I am seeing forecast is down a good ~30% from where it was at the beginning of the year.

With Lightning launching tomorrow I am seeing roughly 1,200 units that are built and ready to ship for tomorrow, not a significant number for a highly anticipated vehicle. with another ~4500 scheduled for production until the 2nd week of July.

Thanks, Reenis! Good stuff.

So after listening to CLF earnings they have stated that the have increase their shipment to steel to automobile industry. Also the shutdown of China and AMD/NVIDIA being downgraded due to lower demand also benefits the auto industry. So im looking for statements of increase production capacity of legacy auto vehicles like Ford. One thing I am looking for is if Tesla or other cars companies that had earnings make any statement about increased production capacity of factories that are not in China.

GM had big earnings today. I’d expect to see same from F although sales continue to be down YOY and production issues persist. We shouldn’t discount the amount of dollars saved by the legacy in incentives/rebates offered and the advertising dollars. Throughout most of our lives you flip TV on there is some kind of car commercial they paid 500k to run for 30 seconds. That was the times of old. Spending virtual nothing on ad space and nothing on incentive coupled with largely increased MSRPs not paying floor plan assistance to dealers. And the legacy have become far more lean and can post big profits on smaller deliveries. Definitely healthy for the long run.

True enough. I would caution not to hold any position past ER, unless it’s extra cash of course.
Will all the good things adding up for EV makers, Ford will be one most will be happy to invest again at these lower price levels.

I don’t really mess with F myself because to close to my actual livelihood to bet against and really bet for as well. Just wanted to share some perspective from automotive retail side.

Ford, I’ll be looking for a leap entry today.
Please read my updates on the main body above, if you need some catching up…

Starting at 10:15am, I’ll be looking for a 1-2year leap and get at least 1 with the $18-20 strikes.

Lightnings are starting to hit dealer lots sold orders mostly and a demo unit. This will undoubtedly be pumped in next earnings call. They will tout their best EV quarter ever as they have called 2021 their best EV year ever. Happens to coincide with the primarily only year they sold EVs. And as we all know when EV news comes it can pump. On that note they are pretty bad ass and should be a big player in EV truck market.

Some pics up close and personal.
