Uranium to Uranus

Yeah. Hopefully nothing srs. But i think there is higher chance of politicians using it to get attention by putting safety of europe on the line like last week. (which they cant be blamed for) On the other side, some people say they use chernobyl as storage for newer rods aswell, which could be dangerous… We will see.

Just posting here aswell for better summary.

US and RUSSIA are playing “You cant fire me because I quit” on each other with the uranium sanctions. Its most likely gonna be banned one way or another.

Also if you check this timing, I wonder “who” and “why” made the ceo of the world largest uranium producer (40% of world supply) ,in country heavily connected with russia, resign day after threatening ban on crucial commodities export…

Russia will most likely put uranium on the list of blocked exports with kazachstan following shortly after.

Just keep in mind US uranium sector is still fucking small, we talking fractions of meme stocks and coins…

“HEAD OF UKRAINE’S ENERGOATOM SAYS RUSSIANS OCCUPYING ZAPORIZHZHIA PLANT TOLD WORKERS THE PLANT BELONGS TO RUSSIA’S ROSATOM NOW”

If that does not trigger sanctions on rosatom aswell, I am not sure what will.

Rosatom confirming. Crazy. Its like they want to be cut off.

After getting Chernobyl plant situation under control, another set of positive news follows:

“A top Senate Republican will seek to ban imports of a Russian energy source that has so far dodged sanctions from the White House and Capitol Hill: uranium.”

Took a few 3.25.22 $25c on CCJ today on the sell off with the earthquake off Fukushima. Hope all is well out there, as of now there is no information if the plant took any damage. I think since the 2011 quake and Fukushima plant disaster that they are more prepared today than ever and this may end up being a positive over the next few days. The situation is early, and as of this writing 7000+ homes are without power, so I’ll keep my eye on this position ready to cut if it turns out I’m wrong. Really hoping I’m correct, the money is nice, but more so hope that the disaster that happened a decade ago doesn’t repeat.

Edit: seems good about an hour later.

Still holding onto my April UUUU & DNN. fingers crossed

Looks like oil ETFs & oil stocks have rebounded today too. Now that the interest rate hooplah is over it’s back to reality (hopefully).

seems I did alright on that scare news, exited today here at the open

Webcast soon, might have some info on the bill:

Two hearings slightly related to nuclear are happening tommorow, second one more. Some mentions followed by significant movement in either direction possible, dont dare to predict wtf they say.

Ban bill still hovering at first checkpoint:

Well, sold URA calls after all that hell during past two weeks. Dont like this dip. 45% gain. Will probably look for specific tickers now as Kaz will drag etfs down on possible ban.

I was actually just looking at Uranium when I saw you make this post. UUUU hit a double top. So did DNN. CCJ broke through a longer term double top, but looks like it could drift back down with this downward pressure. DNN has huge support @ $1.40, but I think a drift into the 1.5s would be more likely. Of course, with all this Russia shit, anything can happen and Uranium could pop off within a day. I’ll be waiting for a better entry.

Yeah, first I wanted to get rid of ETFs as they contain 5% of KAP.

Second as you said all is on double top and unless they announce uranium ban tommorow it might drop.

Option 1: If they do announce I will simply buy slightly higher priced options of CCJ / UUUU / UEC as there is no way it would not run heavily on these news.
Option 2: There is still possibility US dont announce the uranium ban themselves, but something else that might further hurt putin and he ban uranium exports himself out of spite. Which seems to be best scenario for trade as it would probably dip more before he announces.

Guess we will see tommorow.

Yesterday shortly before close I bought into:

UUUU Apr 14 - 10 C
DNN Apr 14 - 2 C

News and events:

Goldman Sachs said to start buying into uranium - mainly SPUT

Musk pushes nuclear again (hopefully it will pull dogecoin soon :D):

Various sources saying that there is currently forest fires still burning around the Cherobyl plant which is under Russian control, nobody can get in to fight the fire but the Russians are denying it.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/breaking-chernobyl-radiation-fears-forest-26567792

I’m hoping for a similar dip to when the plant caught fire to buy into.

Yeah this is bummer, might be short term dip. But I dont believe bunch of nuclear engineers did not thought of precautions apart from relaying on firefighters lol. Its not any new threat in that area. Its happening yearly.
